Seeing into the future

As much as I say Isaac will not play video games when he gets older, it is inevitable he will sooner or later. But I didn't think it would happen this soon. Nick was playing during Isaac's nap time but as soon as he woke up he wanted to play. So, we found an extra controller and he sat right down next to daddy and played. It was kind of cute. It was not a child friendly game but it wasn't on too long but when something in the game exploded Isaac got so excited. I think he got excited because he thought he did it.

Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch! It was a little chilly but still a good time. They had bouncy blow up things and a huge slide that Isaac and I went down. He is definitely getting bigger by the minute because I was out of breath by the time we got to the top.

Isaac loved the hayride but found out he had some sort of allergic reaction the hay. But it went away after a day or two.

Nick told Isaac he could get pumpkin if he could carry it home...he tried!

Made my day

I know this is Isaac's blog but today's my birthday. I'm feeling old and I can officially say I'm "in my thirties" now. Yes, 31! What!
But he said the cutest thing this morning and it made my day.
I was in the bathroom getting ready for work and he comes in and I said, "Isaac, does mommy look like she's 31?" And didn't hesitate and responded, "no." He had a little giggle when he said it, so he could've been lying to me!
But I'm sure he had no idea what I was asking and he uses no and yes pretty freely when you ask him questions. But it still made me feel good!

Friendly haunted house

A co-worker had two extra tickets to the Children's Museum preview night for their haunted house. So, we went to preview night of the "friendly" haunted house...the lights were on. Isaac loved it. When we came to the snake room he ran right up to them but then stopped just short of them because the really looked real and said, whoa and screamed. He definitely had to work on his patience because we were behind a slow family and took forever and Isaac kept on wanting to pass them.

Big shoes to fill

Every weekend Nick goes to the movies with his dad (papa for Isaac). And on that Saturday or Sunday, Isaac realizes Nick is not there and I tell him he's at the movies with Papa and runs to back door to wait. This past Sunday while Isaac was yelling for dadda, he found his shoes and then went to back door to find him and give dadda his shoes. After realizing he wasn't there, Isaac decided to walk in his shoes.

Weekend snaps

We celebrated my niece's 2nd birthday this past weekend. Despites colds and bad weather we had fun. My sister did a great job of keeping the kids entertained with crafts. Who knew she was Martha Stewart! See pumpkin cake above...

Whenever they are together, they also like to play and jump in the crib. Who knows why!

A simple game is balloons. They had so much fun throwing, sitting on and kicking them around.

Isaac did a great job when Maren opened her presents. He sat quietly next to her. Maren was nice and gave him the bows and wrapping paper as she unwrapped them.
