Dad's back

Nick made it back late last night. We're glad he's back but what does Isaac do to welcome him back...sleep in until 7:10am! He got up every morning at 6am everyday when it was just me!

First time for everything

*His shirt says "Mom's Little Angel" I love it.

It was bound to happen sooner or later...Isaac pee'd on the floor! It was mainly my fault because I didn't put a diaper on him after his bath. Here's the story...this past week we went over to my friend Kyle's house for a St. Patrick's Day dinner since Nick was out of town. Brennan and Isaac had a bath and it was a lot of fun. Well, the McCool's have naked dance time after Brennan's bath. This was new to Isaac and he loved it. So, I thought we try it at our house. So, last night after his bath we went out to the living room and I was trying to find the music channel on the TV when I hear this big sigh and water hitting the floor. Well, the sigh was from Isaac and the water was pee! I said, oh no and went for him and the towel. He jumped and stopped peeing. It was pretty funny. So maybe next time we will have dance party after a bath but with a diaper on!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

It's been just the two of us (Isaac and I) since last Saturday. Nick went to Canada with his mom because he grandma is sick. So, I've been a single mom and will be until Saturday.

We are surviving but it's tiring. I have no idea how single mom's or military wives with kids do it. I definitely give them a huge round of applause.

But Isaac is doing great. Talking more and more with ugh oh's, trying to say dog and he definitely has been listening to me when I tell the dogs to get out because he says out without the t.

Unfortunately, we missed Nick's b-day which was on the 15th and our anniversary which is today. We will just have to celebrate when he gets back. We've been married 2 years but it feels like 20...in a good way!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Great weekend

The weather has been great and we are definitely ready for spring. Isaac loves to be outside and gets very upset when we go back in. Here are some pictures from this weekend. We played in the driveway because the grass was of kind wet and it's too muddy in the backyard. He had fun picking up rocks and surprisingly not eating them! And pushing around the snow shovel. Nick is definitely ready for him to shovel snow!

We made our first trip to the Children's Museum with my mom, sister, BIL and Maren. And it will definitely not be our last because we got a family pass for a year. Isaac and Maren had a great time and the parents were exhausted, even though we just watched them.

Isaac really wanted to play with the older kids...well any kid. There was a little pretend ice cream shop with fake ice cream and trays. He's at the window in the picture above and there was a little girl, who in my opinion was a little brat. She kept on telling kids not to touch anything and grabbed a few things away from Isaac. I stepped in and said she needed to share and he was going to see the ice cream for a minute. I really wanted to go on more but I know it wasn't my place but she was brat. I'm sure it's the age or maybe it was because she was being mean to my child but I was annoyed.

Last but not least...Isaac is going to try out for Abercrombie Kids! Just kidding.

Give me a hug

Isaac's into giving lots of hugs lately...including the dogs!

I think he's going through the attachment phase. I love it...sometimes...but Nick hates it because he wants me. I say sometimes because it's hard when I have to hand him off to Nick to cook dinner, get dressed, etc. So, Nick thinks he doesn't like him which of course isn't true. He's just going through his "mommy" stage and I'm sure it'll pass, hopefully not too soon!
