My gentle giant

I think Isaac is on his way of being a gentle giant. He's tall for his age and hopefully will get his daddy's height but he's the most sensitive, take your time, think about the situation-- 2 year old I know.

You can see this on how he goes down the slide...
Pretty much in the same spot from picture 1 to 2.

This took him about 2 minutes. I guess he's just enjoying the moment. Words of wisdom to live by from a 2 year old!

Splash park!

We had fun Memorial Day weekend--minus fighting a fever one minute and running around like a crazy kid the next. I just don't get it. But we survived and Isaac is feeling better. We made a random stop at a park that had a splash park and Isaac wanted to go in. These are so much fun. Water just shoots out of the ground. There was a round one that Isaac was afraid to go into--so being the loving mom I am, I agreed to go with him. Little did I know the water was freezing and my preggo stomach was bigger than I thought and I got wet! Waiting.... Here it comes...

It's getting higher... And it's freezing...as you can tell on our faces and the words that I said! Oops--yes, kids were around. Sorry!

But Isaac went back for more.

This one was his favorite because he could put his foot on it and it was just a little fountain of water.

Mother's Day continued...

Here's the afternoon of Mother's Day. It was perfect for the zoo and good time because our membership was expiring the next day.
Isaac fed the giraffe and loved it. He wanted to do it again and again.

Waiting for the sharks to swim by so he could pet one. He actually did but it scared him a little. But he came back for more.

Watching the seals

Daddy and Isaac--I feel I never get pictures of them together. I really like this one.

Mother's Day--part 1

We had a jammed packed weekend with sleepovers, visiting old friends, cookouts--in rainy weather, and a family brunch with a trip to the zoo!
Isaac's cousin spent the night Friday and it's so fun to watch them play and talk to each other.
After we picked up Isaac from daycare on Friday, the two of them sat in the backseat and compared boo boo's. It was so funny!

Isaac has offically moved into his "new" room with his new race car bed. He loves it and did a really good job with the transition. Everything still isn't in it's place--to my standards but it will (hopefully) get there before the baby comes!

Sunday, we had my mom and my sister's family over for brunch and then went to the zoo. I received flowers from Nick but my true gift was the drawing Isaac did for me...on his face and legs and going potty on the toilet! I about cried! I thought he was just prolonging going to bed but he really went. Daycare is working with him too and he went twice yesterday! I'm definitely not pushing it though. But it would be great not to have two in diapers!

Isn't it a nice drawing? It was so hard not to laugh and I pretty much did. But gave a warning on just drawing on the paper and not himself.
