It's my Grandma's birthday!

Happy birthday, Grandma Ruth! Mom did a nice thing today and dropped of flowers for you at school. I hope you enjoy them. Thanks for babysitting, playing with me and taking me for walks...I really appreciate it. Even though I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to call you...grandma, nana, memaw, or maybe granny, I enjoy hearing your voice over the phone and like all your funny voices! Here are some pictures mom put up of you taking care of me when I first came home from the hosptial. Love, IsaacMy 1st bath!

When I was your age...

Now I can finally be one of those people who says to their child, "when I was your age..." I was over at my mom's looking for baby pictures. I realized that things (pictures, scrapbooking, and taking notes) are less and less with the 3rd child. I, being the youngest, experienced that on Sunday. My mom found my baby book that had about 5 pages filled out...sorry mom...I knew you were busy back then. But I kind of felt neglected. I know that if I say I won't do that with my youngest, I will but I guess it happens to everyone.
Anyway, I came across the page of my eating habits as a baby. And it is so funny that I was given rice cereal at 2 months, fruit and veggies at 3 months, and 2% milk at 4 months! Now they don't want you to go to solid foods until 6 months, let alone milk until they are at least 1 year. But I guess I turned out fine! There are so many rules that they say we should follow but it makes you wonder if it really matters. But now I can tell Isaac, when I was your age I had milk by now.
I think Mr. Isaac is on his way to crawling. This morning he was on the bed with Nick and I put the bottle in front of him and he got up on all fours and was rocking back and forth...trying not to go nuts reaching for the bottle. But now we need to start baby proofing everything.

Da da da bad bad bad

So, with Nick passed out on the couch last night I was the only one who heard Isaac at 1:30am! I guess he was hungry because he wolfed down the bottle but he definitely wasn't ready to go back to bed. So, he laid in his crib for about 40 minutes and said "da da da bad bad bad" and made raspberry noises. Then he finally put himself to sleep. I guess he got bored. I thought it was so funny I got the video camera out and taped it with night vision! Needless to say I was wide awake at that point too!
Nick says his first words are da da, which I guess that is true but he doesn't say it and look for Nick but we are working on it. I think it is funny that is saying da da and calling him bad!
