Looking back and looking ahead

So, I've been reading other women's blogs and I think they are great. I say 'women' because I don't come across too many men writing blogs about their family. I kind of feel like I'm watching people from outside their window and I'm not supposed to! But I kind of like it. Call me weird...and I know some of you will!

I've been thinking on how time has flown by and how Isaac, Nick and I have changed so much in the past 7 months.

It's just crazy to look back at pictures of Isaac. I remember saying, 'I can't wait until he can sit up on his own." And now, I'm worried that he will fall back and hit his head on something. I guess there is always something to worry about.

As far as looking ahead, I think I want to start journaling for Isaac. I guess blogging counts, right? I was talking to a co-worker, whose daughter turned 21 and she sent her daughter some journal entries she wrote when her daughter was growing up. I think that would be so neat. My mom told me to start a journal when Isaac was born and I guess I started this but now I want to write more. Not sure how much a son would appreciate it when he gets older as much as maybe a daughter would, but I think he will because he our son and Nick and I like that kind of thing. And dang it, if I'm taking the time to write things down he won't remember then he better enjoy it! JK!
