How to baby proof things for a 9 month old?

Mr. Isaac is 9 months! I can't believe it! He is practicing for Mr. Universe!

First, here are the facts
30 inches long--95 percentile
20lbs and 12 oz--50 percentile

He is the same weight as his 13 month old cousin! But I am realizing we haven't babyproofed the house very well. As he plays under the computer desk trying to get all the cords! Now that he is officially crawling we definitely need to. Our doctor said we even need to watch the dogs food and water bowl. And I never even thought of keeping the bathroom door shut or putting the toilet lid down, so he won't fall in and drown! Too much to think about!
He is getting one of his front teeth and the one to the side and that has made some nights very long. He just screams out in the middle of the night. I feel so bad.

A few things that you will definitely want to do/get:

1) cabinet locks....I guarantee that he will want to get into the cabinets!

2) a toilet lid lock. Both Morgan and my niece played in the toilet, which is just gross to think about :) I got one very cheap ($5) at Walmart and it was easy to use.

3) start using baby gates. It makes you less crazy about having to babyproof everything.

4) Whoever mentioned the dog food is so right! Morgan would often eat the dog food, put the dog's food in her water, or simply dump out all the water and splash around in it until I came to figure out why the dog was barking so much! On a side note, Morgan STILL eats the dog's food if I don't watch! It worries me a little :)

Isaac continues to be so cute! I love the picture you put up today. He's got Morgan beat in both weight and height when she was 9 months old!
