We had a visitor about two weeks ago, the Fa Fa Fairy (pacifier fairy). It was time to get rid of the fa fa. I felt his front teeth were moving and it drove me crazy when he would talk with it in his mouth. So, we had a talk how the fairy would come to visit him to take his fa fa and give them to the babies who need them and she would leave him presents! And it worked!
I have pictures but haven't uploaded them but he put the basket of fa fa's in the middle of the driveway--all his doing--so she could find them. The next morning he comes into our bedroom saying, "look mama, fa fa fairy left me a backpack" It wasn't want "she" left him but now I know I could of re gifted his backpack and he would've been excited!
"She" left him bubbles, matchbox cars, and stickers.
And I'm happy to say he's been great without it. We are so proud. He had a hard time during the night--waking up crying--because he had nothing to sooth him but now he's fine. He's only asked for it twice when he fell or got really upset about something. But we said no and he was over it.
I do have to thank baby C from daycare though. Isaac loves baby C and says he gave his fa fa's her. It helped so much!
We will see what he says about his brother/sister having a fa fa...
