Finally sums it up

It feels like I haven't posted in forever! Mainly, because I haven't been taking a lot of pictures and I know people would rather see Isaac than read what I'm writing. I tried to upload some video last night but our computer was going crazy.

But I do want to post this clip that I found from this website I found. It is pretty interesting. I found it thru this lady who was on Oprah who has her own blog and makes over 40k a month...yes a month...from just blogging!

I've never really spoken a lot on how I felt when Isaac was first born and how hard it was for me not to be able to breastfeed him. It was the worst 2 months of my life. I felt like such a failure and the lactation consultants, seeing friends doing it, guilt that I put on myself didn't help, guilt from reading articles that said--formula is evil and breast is best...whatever! Well, I found this site and this topic came up and the ladies in the short clip summed it all up on how I feel. I feel society puts pressure on women to breastfeed. I'm sure it is better for the baby and you but what about the women who can't. Maybe I guess I could've been as confident as the women in the clip.

Anyway, off my soapbox and I promise the next blog entry and future ones will return to all about Isaac!

Dad's back

Nick made it back late last night. We're glad he's back but what does Isaac do to welcome him back...sleep in until 7:10am! He got up every morning at 6am everyday when it was just me!

First time for everything

*His shirt says "Mom's Little Angel" I love it.

It was bound to happen sooner or later...Isaac pee'd on the floor! It was mainly my fault because I didn't put a diaper on him after his bath. Here's the story...this past week we went over to my friend Kyle's house for a St. Patrick's Day dinner since Nick was out of town. Brennan and Isaac had a bath and it was a lot of fun. Well, the McCool's have naked dance time after Brennan's bath. This was new to Isaac and he loved it. So, I thought we try it at our house. So, last night after his bath we went out to the living room and I was trying to find the music channel on the TV when I hear this big sigh and water hitting the floor. Well, the sigh was from Isaac and the water was pee! I said, oh no and went for him and the towel. He jumped and stopped peeing. It was pretty funny. So maybe next time we will have dance party after a bath but with a diaper on!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

It's been just the two of us (Isaac and I) since last Saturday. Nick went to Canada with his mom because he grandma is sick. So, I've been a single mom and will be until Saturday.

We are surviving but it's tiring. I have no idea how single mom's or military wives with kids do it. I definitely give them a huge round of applause.

But Isaac is doing great. Talking more and more with ugh oh's, trying to say dog and he definitely has been listening to me when I tell the dogs to get out because he says out without the t.

Unfortunately, we missed Nick's b-day which was on the 15th and our anniversary which is today. We will just have to celebrate when he gets back. We've been married 2 years but it feels like 20...in a good way!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
