Welcome Corbin

Isaac and baby Buck 2 have a new cousin! Congrats to Lindsay and Chad (Nick's cousin) on their arrival of Corbin Jon Buck, June 22nd! Lindsay and I were due the same week but she decided to make it into a competition and go early!

Fa Fa Fairy

We had a visitor about two weeks ago, the Fa Fa Fairy (pacifier fairy). It was time to get rid of the fa fa. I felt his front teeth were moving and it drove me crazy when he would talk with it in his mouth. So, we had a talk how the fairy would come to visit him to take his fa fa and give them to the babies who need them and she would leave him presents! And it worked!

I have pictures but haven't uploaded them but he put the basket of fa fa's in the middle of the driveway--all his doing--so she could find them. The next morning he comes into our bedroom saying, "look mama, fa fa fairy left me a backpack" It wasn't want "she" left him but now I know I could of re gifted his backpack and he would've been excited!
"She" left him bubbles, matchbox cars, and stickers.

And I'm happy to say he's been great without it. We are so proud. He had a hard time during the night--waking up crying--because he had nothing to sooth him but now he's fine. He's only asked for it twice when he fell or got really upset about something. But we said no and he was over it.

I do have to thank baby C from daycare though. Isaac loves baby C and says he gave his fa fa's her. It helped so much!
We will see what he says about his brother/sister having a fa fa...

Swimming!

We had a fun Father's Day weekend. My uncle from Reno came into town and Isaac loves D aka Uncle Carl! We planned to go swimming at my mom's pool but we needed one major essential for swimming....wings, floaties, whatever nickname you want to call them. Isaac was so excited he stripped down to his diaper, found his purple sunglasses and just sat on the couch with them deflated watching TV.
We finally made it to the pool. Loved the deep end with daddy.

He was concentrating so hard but kicking and blowing bubbles.

Happy (late) Father's Day to all the dads and dads to be! Isaac and I are biased though because we have the best dad/husband!

What did he just say?

Isaac is saying the strangest/funniest things lately and half the time Nick and I just stop and ask each other--"what did he just say" or "where did he learn that sentence/words?"
  • Rise and shine! * walking down the hall at 6:15am!
  • You loose your keys, momma? * he knows this because I can't find my keys on a regular basis
  • Where are my keys?
  • I start your car.
  • I'm moving! * went swimming in the big pool and kicking along while I'm moving him
  • Fun day at the pool!
  • I'm happy!
  • Don't leave without me.
  • You don't talk for me!! * We think it's supposed to be--you don't talk to me like that--we say that to him when his tone gets bad.
  • I listen!
  • My best friend, Maren...
  • Winston (our dog) likes me.
  • I tired. * followed by a big stretch and a yawn
There is more but I wanted to share the funny/interesting ones.
I'm sure I'm biased but I think he's vocabulary and speaking in sentences is pretty good for his age!
